Folks, don't try this at home or you'll risk creating excuses like "my dog ate my homework" :)

“The early bird catches the worm” Paper-Ya's 2011 Agendas, Organizers, Daytimers... whatever you wish to call them... are here!

         

According to The phrase Finder the “worm” quote simply means: Success comes to those who prepare well and put in effort. And its Origin:
was first recorded in John Ray's A collection of English proverbs 1670, 1678: "The early bird catcheth the worm."

Clearly, the title of the work indicates that this was considered proverbial even in the 17th century.
